Submissions
String Praxis invites papers of around 3000-5000 word length on topics including
- the teaching and learning of string performance,,
- the
history and methodology of string pedagogy,
- the scholarly discussion of
teaching materials and methods,
- the conceptual foundations of pedagogy and
performance
- performance practice and performance culture of string instruments.
Papers should be
submitted by email
as attachments in
word or
pdf format. The paper should not contain features
identifying the author personally. A submission needs to contain a
separate attachment with an abstract of max. 150 words and the author's
contact details together with a declaration that the paper has not been submitted to any other journal simultaneously.
Papers should be double spaced and referencing should follow the
Chicago manual of style. In general, endnotes are used for references only.
Submitted papers will be sent to two readers for blind review. Authors
may request copies of readers' reports. Readers shall remain anonymous.
The decision of the editors is final and not subject to appeal.
